This webinar will start with an interactive discussion about the future of cloud-based rating software. We will discuss the key capabilities and how they affect the lives of raters and providers (as described by current users). These features include more efficient rating processes, more control over libraries, enhanced support, and the potential for offering new services to builders.
The discussion will be followed by a demo of an example of cloud-based HERS Rating Tool.
During this discussion, we will briefly discuss the benefits of HERS index and how it utilized for LEED V4 Lowrise credits.
The target audience includes HERS raters and HERS providers. Builders, architects, developers, parts manufacturers and utility administrators/implementers that are interested in code compliance, energy usage optimization or are just interested in learning about the newest technology in the market are welcome to attend as well.
Prior knowledge of HERS rating process will be ideal although attendees with no prior experience will be able to follow and understand.
Lessons Learned
1. Learn about the ins and outs of energy rating cloud-based technology
2. Articulate the basics of how the HERS index reduces homeowner costs and improves LEED V4 BD+C EA Credits, such as the annual energy use credit
3. Know the requirements of HERS for code, energy, Passive House and LEED V4 BD+C EA Prereq minimum energy performance
4. Know where to get more information on generating easy ratings using the LEED Energy budget within the annual energy use credit
